GDPR and L2Tek
The much discussed and fast approaching subject of GDPR is almost upon us, and we’d like to cut through the jargon. We’d also like to keep you informed of the latest news in the world of L2Tek and our suppliers. If you know what we’re about to ask please just fill in the below to stay subscribed/subscribe.
What is GDPR?
GDPR stands for ‘General Data Protection Regulation’, in short it’s to look after your data, where it goes, and what’s done with it. It covers any information that can be classified as personal details or that can be used to determine your identity, so things like your name and email.
How we currently use your data..
In short we don’t use it for much; we use Mailchimp (who are GDPR compliant) to look after all of our mailing list data. Every so often we email yourself with what we think my pique your interest, mostly along the lines of what our suppliers are bringing to a big industry show such as IBC, or the latest news on our website, such as the latest whitepaper to catch our eye, so something we may think catches yours.
One last thing.
So what now? You know what GDPR is for, in brief, and how we use your data. For us to continue using your data we need you to tell us that that’s okay. To do so please click any of the buttons, or images, on the page which will link you through to a subscribe page, where you can fill in a new GDPR compliant form for a new L2Tek mailing list which will be used henceforth. Once we reach 25 May the current mailing list will be deleted and all associated data will be deleted as legally required.
